City of Vancouver Employee Ride-Share Matching

This ridesharing site is for Employees of the City of Vancouver. You can choose to match with everyone at Ride-Share.com or you can choose to only match with other employees at the City of Vancouver. Registration is open to anyone with an email address that ends with @vancouver.ca

1. Register for free with your @vancouver.ca email
2. Enter your home address and choose your worksite destination
   
3. Search for matching commuters with adjustable search options
   
4. Click matching commuters to suggest a ride-share
5. Start ride-sharing!

How it works
It's pretty simple. You tell the Ride Share Website where you want to go and when, and where you will be starting your trip(s). If you're commuting to work, it asks which days of the week. For a one-time trip, it just asks what day.

The Website looks for other people who want to go to your campus at the roughly same time. It also checks if you can be picked up along someone's way, or if you can someone else up. The Website shows any 'matches'. If you decided there is a close enough match, you can send a 'suggestion (offer to ride-share)' to the other parties. When they accept, you get their email address so you can communicate with them.

The system uses Google Maps to find and display your route. You can specify the route you are taking if it's not the most direct.

Your privacy is important to us
We do not share or sell our user lists to anyone. Your email address is only revealed to other commuters when you accept a suggestion to ride-share -- it's up to you to determine compatibility.
